E. D. Bullard Company introduces the Bullard Firedome FXA-1, engineered to meet United States Navy requirements for shipboard firefighter helmets.
Tough and durable The FXA-1 helmet has an outer shell of resin-bonded fiberglass that provides more resistance to chemical attack and more stability at extreme temperatures than thermoplastic models. The color is molded through the shell, so nicks and chips are less visible.
3M Scotchlite striping resists edge curl and retains reflectivity to 500° F, making it the toughest material available for helmet markings.
Quick, easy sizing
Bullard's Sure-Lock ratchet headband adjusts to the wearer's head with a quick turn of the knob. Vertical adjust-ment hanger keys on the front and rear positions of the headband form the basis for a truly customized fit.
The brow pad is washable and replaceable, allowing easy, low-cost maintenance.
Easily accommodates SCBA face pieces
The 4" PPC, optically-correct faceshield pivots a full 90° above the outer shell for optimum interface with SCBAs.
GSA and commercial availability
Purchases can be made directly from E.D. Bullard Company on GSA supply schedule. Faceshields, headbands and ear/neck protectors are replace-able and available from Bullard on GSA contract.
NFPA and Navy Certified
The FXA-1 is certified to meet NFPA 1971-2000 Standard for Structural Fire Helmets and special performance criteria established by the United States Navy.
Specially designed ear/neck protector
With an outer layer of PBI/Kevlar, a moisture barrier and an inner layer of Nomex, the ear/neck protector provides additional steam burn protection to the shipboard firefighter.
Optional accessories for ARFF
Bullard offers a gold-covered faceshield, aluminized helmet cover and aluminized shroud, designed to maximize radiant heat protection for Aircraft Rescue Firefighting.
